For adults who are seeking a treatment to temporarily improve the look of wrinkles.
Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions. After 14 days of injecting the product (Nuceiva® or Dysport®), muscle contractions will temporarily be prevented for 10-12 weeks at minimum.
Both treatments involve injections, but botulinum toxin (Nuceiva® or Dysport®) relaxes muscle movement that results in wrinkles while dermal fillers, is hyaluronic acid (Restylane®) and simply plumps out and smooth wrinkles. Sometimes, these treatments are more effective when combined.
It can take up to 2 weeks for the product to take full effect. We would like you to return to the office after the 2 weeks for a follow-up assessment appointment, especially after your first treatment. This will ensure we are able to see how your facial muscles react to your treatment. If you require additional Nuceiva® or Dysport®, there will be additional charges at the regular rate.
Nuceiva®or Dysport® remains effective for 3 to 4 months, after which time you can return to our clinic for repeat treatment.
No. Your face will never get worse if you stop using neuromodulators, or when it wears off. They “stop or slow” the clock of aging. When you stop receiving treatments, the “aging clock” will resume as normal. At the very minimum, you will simply return to where you started.
Most patients say that the injections feel similar to a little pinch, although everyone is different. The pain is minimal, chiefly because the microneedles used for Nuceiva® or Dysport® injections are very fine. For those who are scared of needles, we offer ice packs that will minimize the sensation even further. In addition, we have a unique vibrating device that is able to effectively dull the sensation of the injections.
Anyone experiencing excessive sweating due to a condition called – Hyperhidrosis. If you tried all other remedies and have become resistant to antiperspirants, talk to one of our nurses. We only perform underarm treatment at this time. May take two appointments.
